This course supports the professional foundation of subjects within the Wood Sciences doctoral program and is also essential for understanding the theoretical and practical aspects of topics in other doctoral programs. It is particularly valuable for students who have little or no prior knowledge of wood properties. The course covers a comprehensive range of wood characteristics, from microscopic (anatomical) and macroscopic features to physical and mechanical properties, and extends to considerations of practical applications. In addition to this broad knowledge base, students receive guidance tailored to their own research areas through individual consultations.
